On the slopes of the castle of Penamacor, with views to all colors until the look gets lost in the horizon of the mountains.
Rebuilt in stones that hold memories of Celtic and Roman empires and by steps where Kings and Princes who fought for Portugal walked.
These are Casas da Penha.
Facing the sunset, Casas da Penha was rebuilt with natural materials – where granite and pine predominate – and finishes of the highest quality, preserving its original layout. Four houses which are also a tribute to the women and men who on the cliff (commonly called “village tops”) practiced their centennial professions. Casa do Cesteiro, Casa do Agricultor, Casa do Pastor and Casa da Forneira.
